Strzegom due to the numerous granite mines located on its territory is an important center of stone industry . The stone provenanced from this city is known in many Polish cities and Europe due to its use; Eg. the Monument to the Heroes of Westerplatte in Gdańsk, Monument to Silesian Insurgents in Katowice, as well as the Monument of Justice in The Hague.
The city is also rich because of its numerous monuments from different periods of its existence. The largest of these include: Basilica church of apostles Peter and Paul from the fourteenth century, water mill located on the Kasztelańska street built in 1880. The most interesting places near Strzegom are first of all castle Książ, health resort Szczawno-Zdroj, Castle Krasków, European Meeting House in Krzyżowa, as well as the Palm House in Walbrzych. Strzegom's undeniable advantage is the proximity of the Table Mountains and Kłodzko Valley.
